Penzion GASK is more than just a place to lay your head.
Housed in a separate building within the grounds of the former Jesuit College in the centre of Kutná Hora — which is also home to the Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region – GASK — the guesthouse charms visitors with the authentic atmosphere of a place where life, study and the daily rhythm of the Jesuit College played out for centuries. Originally the service facilities of this extensive Baroque complex, it has been transformed into a guesthouse with a distinctive atmosphere, modern design and a direct link to the gallery of modern and contemporary art.
The guesthouse offers five rooms inspired by figures associated with the history of the Jesuit College. Each room thus recalls a different story of this place.
Connected with art
The Gallery of the Central Bohemian Region – GASK focuses on the visual art of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is based in the former Jesuit College in Kutná Hora, which is also home to Penzion GASK.
This link to the gallery shapes the atmosphere of the guesthouse as well as the concept of the individual rooms. They are inspired by figures associated with the history of the Jesuit College and complemented by reproductions of works from the GASK collections.
A visit to the gallery is part of the stay. Guests can use free tickets to discover the permanent exhibition, current shows and the children’s play areas.
